Executive Chef
Daniel DeCarpis
Chef Dan discovered his passion for cooking early on, leading him directly from high school to the Culinary Institute of America. His journey took him through notable spots like the Seasons at the Bostonian, Mama Maria's in the North End, and Trattoria Scalinatella, where he was recognized as Best Chef Italian of '03. Since 2006, Dan has been at Tryst, serving as both sous chef and executive chef, continuing to share his 40+ years of culinary expertise.
Pastry Chef
Tricia Dunphy
Tricia, once a legal professional in Boston, turned her hobby of baking cakes and confections into a career, driven by her passion for pastry. Starting in 2017, she honed her skills at Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse before contributing her talents to Smolak Farms in North Andover, where she baked fresh goods and taught decorating classes to local children. In July 2022, Tricia brought her focus on seasonal produce and fresh ingredients to Tryst as our Pastry Chef, delighting guests with her delicious and innovative desserts.

Taek Kim
Taek's journey in the restaurant industry began over 20 years ago, following his family's move from South Korea to Massachusetts in 1998. At his parents' A&A restaurant in Salem, NH, he nurtured a growing passion for hospitality. In 2016, Taek and his father together took ownership of Tryst, creating a welcoming, nurturing, family-like atmosphere for both guests and staff is their greatest accomplishment.
