Daniel DeCarpis

Chef Dan has been in the culinary field for 4 decades. He was fortunate enough to recognize his passion for food arts at a young age. He attended the Culinary Institute of America upon graduation from high school. His culinary journey included the Prestigious Seasons at the Bostonian, timeless classic Mama Maria's in the North End, and a move around the corner to Trattoria Scalinatella, where he was awarded Best Chef Italian of 03' Award. Dan has been sous chef & executive chef at Tryst working his magic since 2006!

Tricia Dunphy

Tricia is a former legal professional from Boston who, after years of making cakes and confections for her friends and family, decided to follow her passion for pastry and pursue a career in the culinary arts. In 2017, she joined the pastry team at Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse as a pastry cook and then moved to Smolak Farms in North Andover where she provided farm fresh baked goods and taught cake & cookie decorating classes for local children. Tricia joined the Tryst team as our Pastry Chef in July of 2022, where she focuses on using seasonal produce and fresh ingredients to create delicious and innovative desserts for our guests. 

Taek Kim

Taek has been in the family restaurant business for 20+ years. Having immigrated from South Korea in 1998 to Methuen, MA with his immediate family, he grew his passion for the restaurant industry at his parents' breakfast and lunch restaurant known as A&A in Salem, NH. Upon graduation from the University of New Hampshire, he managed Murphy's Taproom in Manchester and staged at Osushi in Boston. Taek and his family bought and operated the Blue Coyote Grille in Maynard, MA from 2011 to December of 2020. Taek's journey with Tryst started in 2016, and it is a place where he takes enormous pride in providing a family like atmosphere to his guests and to his staff.
