At the age of 32, Chef Paul Turano is popularly acclaimed as one of the areas rising culinary stars. With three restaurants already under his belt, Turano’s entrepreneurial spirit and culinary imagination have earned him praise from restaurant reviewers and guests alike.

In 2002, Chef Turano opened Olio, a 30-seat bistro in Canton, MA.
At Olio, Paul introduced his special brand of cuisine: layering textures and flavors in artistically presented dishes. The popularity of Olio, and Turano himself, earned him one of the highest possible Zagat ratings, putting Olio among the top four restaurants in the Boston area.

In 2004, looking to carry the Olio culinary theme to a larger venue, Turano opened Tryst in Arlington, MA. A 100-plus seat bistro, Tryst features Chef Turano’s creative American signature style in an atmosphere that is warm and lively. After only a few weeks, Tryst received glowing reviews from the Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, the Boston Herald, and others. Since then Tryst has also been featured on “TV Diner with Billy Costa” and received “Best of Boston” honors for Sunday Brunch.

Turano’s culinary experience also includes time spent as executive chef at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA and Creative Gourmet in Boston. He received his A.A.S. in Culinary Arts from Newbury College in Brookline, MA in 1995.
